Welcome Week 2025!
We are looking forward to welcoming all new and returning members in September 2025
The club is open to everyone, whether you’ve never picked up a racket or you’ve been playing for years. We run 4 open sessions a week where our members can just come down and play. We also offer free coached sessions throughout the week and on weekends for all ability levels: beginner, improver, and intermediate. Just sign up and turn up. Our team players also get access to dedicated performance coaching to help push their game further.
As much as we all love squash, it’s not the only thing we’ve got going on. This year, we’ve got a full lineup of social events from BBQs in the Meadows to our infamous family nights. We’re also teaming up with other societies to mix things up and try something new. We won’t give too much away just yet, but you can expect things like rounders, outdoor swimming, and hopefully plenty more along the way.
If you’re a more experienced player, you can attend trials for our men’s and women’s teams, which compete in BUCS and a local league. If you’re after something more casual, we also run several intramural teams that play weekly. Each team is made up of a mix of abilities, so it’s a great way to get match experience, meet people, and improve together.

We’re also running taster sessions throughout the week to give you a little taste of the squash action. Sign-ups are required and will be posted on our Instagram closer to the time.

EUSC has over 140 members based at the Centre for Sport and Exercise, Pleasance, Edinburgh.
We accommodate and provide opportunities for players of any level from beginner to international standard…

What do we offer to our members?

Equipment, court time and socials
We run 4 open sessions every week, completely free for members. Outside of these times, normal court booking fees apply – but for our open sessions, just turn up and play. They’re open to everyone, and we provide rackets and balls, so you don’t need to bring a thing. We also host a wide range of socials throughout the year, making it easy to get involved both on and off court.

Coaching for everyone
We offer 6 free coached sessions every weekend – 2 each for beginners, improvers, and intermediates, plus dedicated high-level coaching for our team players. So whether you’re brand new or looking to improve, there’s something for you.

Competition Opportunities
If you want to compete, we offer plenty of options. Try out for our BUCS teams (students only) to play nationally. You can also join regional leagues, enter club tournaments, and compete in university events throughout the year. For regular match practice, our intramural teams provide friendly but competitive games.
